Sugar bowl "Forest Violet" model Tulip LFZ Porcelain USSR
The sugar bowl was produced at the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (LFZ) from hard porcelain in Leningrad.
The form was cast by hand. Hand-applied overglaze decoration is used for embellishment. The drawing’s author is Larisa Grigorieva, the form's author is Serafima Yakovleva.
The "Forest Violet" design was created in the 1980s by artist Larisa Grigorieva.
The “Tulip” form was created in 1936 by Honored Artist of the RSFSR Serafima Evgenievna Yakovleva. This form gained popularity thanks to Anna Yatkevich’s "Cobalt Mesh" design and remains one of the factory's most popular forms. For creating this form, Serafima Yakovleva was awarded a Gold Medal at the World Exhibition of Art and Industry in Brussels (1958), received a Small Silver Medal from VDNKh in 1960, and a Silver Medal at the International Ceramics Exhibition in Prague in 1962.
