This vibrant "Wonderland" collection was inspired by Russian pre-Petrine art, particularly the Naryshkin (Moscow) Baroque with its characteristic ornamentation. The decorative style references the tradition of Russian lubok prints and book miniatures. On the service pieces, elaborate houses “emerge” amidst fantastical birds and striking gold accents. The service is crafted from hard porcelain at the Imperial Porcelain Factory. Overglaze enamels and gold luster detailing are employed for decoration. The design’s author is the renowned St. Petersburg artist-illustrator, painter, and graphic artist Igor Gantsenko; the form was designed by Serafima Yakovleva. Production of the item began in 2021.
