• Lilac Teaservice 6/15, Dulevo, 1963.
A service for 6, 15 pieces: Teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, 6 teacups and saucers. The service is free from cracks and chips. One saucer has slight gilt loss; otherwise the service is in excellent condition. On the "Siren" (Violet) cups, there are occasionally inclusions resembling black specks. These points appear in the porcelain due to impurities of iron oxides within the clay used for its manufacture. After firing, these resulted in black spots. Attempts were made to mitigate this using magnets, with limited success. The problem was eventually resolved through the use of electromagnets with a stronger field, eliminating the spots entirely. However, this occurred long after these cups were produced. It is precisely because of this that "Siren" (Violet) services are predominantly found in the 2nd and 3rd grades. This does not detract from the beauty or functionality of the teacups. It is now difficult to find a "Siren" (Violet) service without these specks.
