The vibrant decoration of the service is composed of various elements from the architectural ensemble of the Moscow Kremlin. One can discern brick walls with crenellations in a dovetail shape, towers, and the colorful domes of St. Basil's Cathedral on the pieces. The decor on the cups and teapot resembles details of the Ivan the Great bell tower, specifically its kokoshnik-inspired ornamentation mimicking windows and the gilded inscription on the cornice of the dome’s base. Old Slavonic script is applied to the teapot, featuring Russian proverbs including: "The Russian person offers bread and salt." "Moscow is renowned for its kalachi, St. Petersburg for its usachi." "Moscow is white-stoned, gold-domed, bread-and-salt, talkative." "From the Kremlin, all of Rus' is visible."
