A service for 6, 15 pieces:
Teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, 6 teacups and saucers.
The service is free from cracks and chips. There are signs of use and minor wear to the gilding.
On the "Siren'" (Lily-of-the-Valley) cups, there are occasionally inclusions resembling black specks. Such spots occur in porcelain when the clay used contains iron oxide impurities. These appeared as black points after firing. Attempts were made to remove them using magnets, with limited success. The problem was eventually resolved using electromagnets with a stronger field, eliminating the spots entirely. However, this occurred long after these cups were produced.
It is precisely for this reason that the "Siren'" service is predominantly found in the 2nd and 3rd grades (quality).
This does not detract from the beauty or functionality of the teacups. It is now difficult to find a "Siren'" service without these spots.
Lilac Teaservice 6/15, Dulevo, 1963.
