Produced by the Imperial (Lomonosov) Porcelain Factory in St. Petersburg - one of the longest-operating porcelain factories in Russia. These beautiful pieces are picture the famous Gold Cobalt Net design - a simple yet exquisite ornamentation designed by A. Yatskevich. This pattern has, through the decades, held true as the business card of the factory. The cup is 12 cm (4 3/4") tall with lid and 9.3 (3 1/2") in diameter. The saucer is 14.6 cm (5 3/4 ") in diameter. By hand-painting the piece with genuine cobalt and 22 karat gold ink, the artist creates a striking combination of intertwining lines, drops and accents, carefully preserving the ancient art of porcelain painting and decoration.
