Recognized and admired abroad as a symbol of Russian porcelain, this piece was created by artist Anna Adamovna Yatskevich (1904-1952) in 1944.
The pattern first appeared on tableware in 1944, initially rendered in gold. However, the artist found the golden mesh unsatisfactory on the finished product and changed the color to a rich cobalt blue for subsequent models, thus establishing this particular design.
A service in this specific color scheme received a gold medal at the World Exhibition in Brussels in 1958.
