This is famous Russian Lomonosov Gold Cobalt Net pattern, also known as the Catherine the Great pattern. These beautiful pieces are decorated with the Gold Cobalt Net design that originated in Russian two centuries ago when it was first made for the czar's Winter Palace in St. Petersburg. It is unique for its deep blue color accented with gold where each Blue Net line intersects. the de­coration of Cobalt Net , inspired by the service from Elizabeth's period, fitted harmoniously into the delicate tulip shape and pro­duced a wonderfully noble, classically beautiful whole. This ser­vice was to become the Lomonosov factory's most recognised pattern, its visiting card. the pattern designed by A. Yatskevich. The cup is 4 3/4 inch. tall with lid and 3 1/2 inch. in diameter. The saucer is 5 3/4 inch. in diameter. The plate is 7 inch. in diameter. It has the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory LFZ logo on the bottom. Brand new, excellent condition, export quality.
