The cup measures approximately 4" (6.5 cm) tall. The saucer measures approximately 6 ½" (16 cm) in diameter. It bears an Imperial Lomonosov Porcelain Factory (LFZ) hallmark on the bottoms. Brand new, excellent condition, export quality. 265 ml capacity. The pattern was designed by Galina Sulyak, the painter. The Imperial Porcelain Factory (now known as the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory) was founded by Empress Elizabeth in 1744 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Lomonosov Porcelain Factory was the first porcelain manufacturer in Russia to develop and commercially implement alabaster porcelain technology. This fine, delicate porcelain is a more brilliant white than typical varieties, thin almost to the point of being translucent. From its first porcelain bear, hand-made by the inventor of Russian porcelain, Dmitry Vinogradov, Lomonosov has continued the tradition of creating life through porcelain.
