Porcelain, hand-painted decoration, gilt accents. Height 27.5 cm. Marks: blue “LFZ,” green “2 sort” (second grade). Condition: loss of lid. Taisia Sergeevna Kuchkina (1909–1942) – sculptor. In 1929, she studied sculpture at the workshop-studio of the AHHR (Association for Artistic Heritage). In 1936, she graduated from the Leningrad Institute of Decorative Arts and Design (course of A.T. Matveev). In 1937, she joined the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory as a sculptor. She was the author of genre figures, groups, and compositions. As a monumental sculptor, she created bas-reliefs for the facade of Khimki Railway Station on the Moscow Canal. During her short creative period at the Lomonosov Factory, T.S. Kuchkina produced genre sculpture, primarily depicting women and children. In accordance with the tradition of Gzhel porcelain panels, the sculptor treated porcelain as a soft, flowing medium, creating smooth rounded forms.
