Rarity for a collection!! From the series of plates “Russian Costume. Seasons” (2004) by Nelly Petrova. • Hard porcelain, overglaze décalcomanie decoration, hand-painted. • Diameter - 7.7 inches (19.5 cm). • The plate has holes on the reverse for wall mounting. New, in excellent condition. Artist of the design Nelly Lvovna Petrova (born 1949) – Honored Artist of Russia, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. In 1975 she graduated from St. Petersburg State Academy of Arts and Industry (formerly Leningrad College of Decorative Applied Arts), and began working at LFZ as an artist. Chief Artist of the factory in 1989-1991 and again since 2015. Participant in domestic and international exhibitions. Works are held in the collections of The State Hermitage Museum, The State Russian Museum, The State Ceramic Museum, and “Kuskovo” Estate of the 18th century, The State Historical and Art Museum "Tsarytsino," in private collections in Russia and abroad. Author of the form Vladimir Lavrentievich Semenov (1914-1978) – Sculptor, artist at LFZ from 1937-1973. Together with Eduard Krimmer, he was a creator of the first bone china forms - "Dandelion" and "Lotus." Designer of the shapes for the services “Bud,” “Ellipse,” “Morning” and others. Works are held in The Hermitage, The Russian Museum, Kuskovo Estate, and others.
